Strategist, innovation and science manager, teacher, researcher, mentor and entrepreneur. I am the Executive Director of the Center for Business Innovation at Porto Business School – University of Porto and Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Magellan MBA.
I was the founder and coordinator of Porto Design Factory, at the Polytechnic of Porto, a structure that integrates the Design Factory Global Network and the Stanford University Global Alliance for Redesign. In this context, I was the scientific coordinator of the "ME310 STANFORD / PORTO" Program, an Executive Master in Product and Service Innovation, in partnership with 19 universities from all over the world and with some of the most exciting global companies.
I was also the creator and manager of the startup acceleration programs Porto Design Accelerator (for the manufacturing industry) and Beta Sound System (for the music, media and entertainment industry).
I was adjunct professor of Communication, Marketing and Culture at the School of Media Arts and Design, at the School of Technology and Management and at the Institute of Accounting and Administration of Porto and guest professor of Customer Development at the Estonian Business School.
I am an external expert in the project "HEInnovate" of the OECD / European Commission and a member of the Steering Committee of the EU’s Digital Education Action Plan Hackathon I have been mentoring start-ups in Europe, USA and Angola.
I hold a degree in International Relations from Universidade Lusíada and a Specialist Degree (Professional PhD) in Organizational Communication from the Polytechnic of Porto. I am a researcher (doctoral student) in Communication Sciences (Strategic Communication) at the University of Minho and an associate researcher at GECAD (Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto).
